Italian Grand Prix FP3 Results at Monza

Lando Norris continued his strong form by leading final practice for the Italian Grand Prix at Monza in FP3, backing up his benchmark from Friday’s second session. The McLaren driver topped the Italian GP FP3 results by edging Ferrari’s Charles Leclerc by just 0.021 seconds at the Temple of Speed, with championship rival Oscar Piastri third, 0.165 seconds adrift.

Norris Maintains Momentum Ahead of Qualifying

The session keeps Norris firmly in the spotlight heading into Italian GP qualifying at Monza, though recent history offers a cautionary note: he topped all three practices at Zandvoort last weekend but couldn’t stop Piastri—who leads him by 34 points in the championship standings—from taking pole.

Top Six in FP3 Standings

World champion Max Verstappen wound up fourth, 0.167 seconds off Norris. George Russell was fifth for Mercedes, and Gabriel Bortoleto impressed in sixth for Sauber in the Italian Grand Prix FP3 order.

Ferrari’s Home Pressure

On his Italian GP debut for Ferrari, Lewis Hamilton—fastest in opening practice on Friday—could manage only seventh in FP3, 0.267 seconds back. Over team radio, Hamilton said he needed “more juice” and “more speed.” He will also serve a five-place grid drop on Sunday, adding a grid penalty wrinkle to Ferrari’s home race at Monza.

Italian GP Qualifying Start Time

Qualifying to set the grid for Sunday’s race at the Italian Grand Prix begins at 16:00 local time (15:00 BST), giving F1 fans the Monza qualifying start time they need.
