F1 liveries with new designs and updates for the 2025 season
F1 liveries new designs: 2025 grid's best paint schemes
LONDON -- For the first time ever, all ten teams gathered in one place on one night, presenting their liveries in an event designed to captivate F1 fans worldwide. The event, dubbed ‘F1 75 Live,’ paid tribute to the series’ 75th anniversary season and was held at the O2 Arena in London.
Teams presented variations or near-identical designs from last season, with minor changes in sponsorship elements, except for one team that unveiled a completely new livery for the 2025 season. Race Sundays' F1 content team ranked this season’s best and worst liveries.
Alpine
Alpine opted for bold splashes of pink and blue, dropping the large black sections from the 2024 model. This more colorful approach will ensure the car stands out on the grid.
Aston Martin
Aston Martin’s iconic British Racing Green remains, but the 2025 design includes additional colors, such as a white smudge on the airbox. The overall look is somewhat scruffier compared to last year’s smooth, clear design.
Ferrari
Ferrari’s 2025 design brings a surprising touch of white, a nod to their title sponsor, HP. The primary color remains a darker red echoing the 1980s and 1990s. The nine HP logos and IBM’s debut on the rear wing mark significant changes, though they may not please all purists.
Haas
Haas introduced subtle changes to its white, black, and red scheme, shifting the color arrangement. White now features prominently on the nose and side pods, while the lettering has inverted to black, providing a more striking visual effect.
Kick Sauber
Sauber’s presentation, marked by a dramatic introduction, revealed a livery in line with expectations. The green and black car reflects title sponsor Stake and COO Mattia Binotto’s question, “Do you like the livery?” was met with silence. This is Stake’s last year before Sauber transitions to Audi, so fans of the green hue should enjoy it while it lasts.
McLaren
McLaren stuck with its successful orange-and-black livery from 2024, changing the finish from matte to gloss. The continuity in design reflects a “why fix what isn't broken” mentality.
Mercedes
Despite Lewis Hamilton’s departure after 12 seasons, Mercedes retained a familiar black and silver livery with green accents from Petronas. The absence of Ineos’ red was notable, although the team confirmed that the chemical giant remains a stakeholder.
Racing Bulls
Racing Bulls (RB) made the most notable change for 2025 with an all-white livery. Though it might not appeal to everyone, it certainly stands out on the grid. The Red Bull logos are now prominent in red and yellow, adding a splash of color to the otherwise minimalist design.
Red Bull Racing
Red Bull Racing’s 2025 livery stayed true to its strong corporate identity, making only minor changes to accommodate new sponsors. The design remains unmistakable on track but lacks excitement in unveiling.
Williams
Williams sported a slightly lighter blue for new title sponsor Atlassian, with a white pinstripe on the nose for tidiness. The Duracell-themed airbox continued to be a highlight, although the overall design was seen as smart but uninspired.
As the teams head into next week’s preseason tests in Bahrain, these liveries will take to the track, giving fans a first glimpse of their favorites in action for the 2025 season.
