Hamilton's grand entrance with Ferrari at F1 75 live event

Lewis Hamilton has expressed his excitement and rejuvenation as he gears up for his first Formula 1 season with Ferrari. The seven-time world champion made a grand entrance at the F1 75 Live event, held at London's O2 Arena, marking his debut for the iconic Scuderia.

Hamilton took the stage alongside new teammate Charles Leclerc and team principal Fred Vasseur after Ferrari unveiled their striking new car for the 2025 season, the SF-25. The atmosphere was electric as Hamilton greeted the enthusiastic crowd.

"How you doing London? You good?" Hamilton greeted, met with a wave of loud cheers. "Good evening, everyone. Such a great night to be here amongst all of you."

When asked to sum up his mindset for the new season in one word, Hamilton responded, "I think the word I'm thinking of is invigorated because I feel so full of life with so much energy, because everything's new. Just focused on what's up ahead. I'm so proud to be a part of the team; it's something new and exciting for me. Thank you for all being here."

Hamilton's public appearance marks a significant moment after his private testing session in Barcelona last month, where he encountered a setback with a crash. Nonetheless, this event symbolized his official introduction to the Ferrari fanbase since his surprise move from Mercedes last year.

Mercedes team principal Toto Wolff, who embraced Hamilton before the event, compared the sight of Hamilton in Ferrari's red colors to seeing an ex-partner in a new relationship.

The F1 75 Live event, which celebrated 75 years of the sport, featured all 10 teams, the 20 drivers, and team bosses. Each team showcased their liveries for the upcoming season in an unprecedented manner.

Ferrari is planning their own season launch at their headquarters in Maranello on Wednesday, where Hamilton is expected to provide further insights into his transition and aspirations with the new team.

Preseason testing is set for February 26-28, and the highly anticipated season will kick off with the Australian Grand Prix, scheduled for March 14-16.
