Ferrari F1 driver Charles Leclerc adds a stunning custom Ferrari SF90 XX Stradale to his personal collection, featuring a unique matte black design with Monaco flag details.

Charles Leclerc has expanded his personal Ferrari collection with a one-of-a-kind Ferrari SF90 XX Stradale, adding another bespoke creation to his growing garage. Footage and images of the Scuderia Ferrari driver’s latest acquisition recently surfaced on social media, showcasing his latest high-performance machine in a unique custom design.

Leclerc’s growing Ferrari collection

As Ferrari’s lead driver in Formula 1, Leclerc has long had access to the brand’s most exclusive road cars. He already owns several high-end Ferrari models, including the standard SF90 Stradale. However, his latest addition—the limited-production SF90 XX Stradale—takes things to the next level with a custom aesthetic tailored to his personal style.

The SF90 XX Stradale is a special version of the SF90, marking Ferrari’s first road-legal model derived from its track-focused XX program. Limited to just 799 units, this hypercar features a hybrid powertrain delivering a staggering 1,016 horsepower, courtesy of a 4.0-liter twin-turbo V8 engine combined with a 171-kilowatt electric motor.

A unique custom design

Leclerc has a history of personalizing his Ferraris, with his Ferrari 488 Pista Spider gaining significant attention for its distinctive styling. The 488 featured a matte black finish with a red and white Monaco flag stripe running down the center, complemented by white “16” decals—a nod to his F1 race number.

His new SF90 XX Stradale follows a similar approach, once again embracing a striking matte black exterior with the iconic Monaco flag details. The design philosophy behind his customization choices has been a recurring theme across his personal Ferrari lineup.

Leclerc’s passion for Ferrari’s Tailor Made program

Leclerc has previously expressed his enthusiasm for Ferrari’s Tailor Made program, which allows clients to create fully bespoke vehicles with personalized specifications. Speaking in a Ferrari YouTube feature about his Daytona SP3, another car he customized, Leclerc explained his preference for black liveries with red and white accents.

I chose the black color just because it’s one of my favorite colors, Leclerc revealed in a Ferrari video discussing his Daytona SP3. And actually, one of my helmets in Ferrari was matte black together with the Monaco flag in the middle of it – and I’ve just done exactly the same on this car.

He detailed further how these elements contribute to the aggressive look of his vehicles:

So matte black for the car, together with the Monaco flag that goes all the way from the front to the back of the car, and the small red line in order to outline some of the carbon fiber parts of the car that I really liked.

I think it gave an aggressive look to the car, the red caliper as well, and obviously the big Ferrari logo painted to the car. It looks incredible, and it has such a history that it was obvious for me to put it a bit bigger on this beautiful car.

Signature touches: Leclerc’s race number

One of Leclerc’s most recognizable customizations is the inclusion of his F1 race number, 16, on his personal cars. This tradition continues with his SF90 XX Stradale, reinforcing his connection to both Ferrari and his racing identity.

I also added my 16 logo – it’s obviously my race number, and I had to put it on my car, and on such a beast, Leclerc said, reflecting on his Daytona SP3. The same logic appears to apply to his new SF90 XX Stradale.

Final thoughts

With his latest acquisition, Charles Leclerc continues to expand his Ferrari collection with one-of-a-kind creations that reflect his personal style and deep connection to the brand. As he gears up for another season with Scuderia Ferrari in F1 2025, his SF90 XX Stradale stands as yet another symbol of his enduring passion for Ferrari, both on and off the track.
