GP Qualifying: Verstappen seals pole position for Chinese Grand Prix, leading Perez and Alonso
Max Verstappen showcased his dominance by securing a commanding pole position for the Chinese Grand Prix, giving Red Bull their historic 100th pole. The Dutchman led the field at the Shanghai International Circuit with a stellar lap time of 1m 33.660s in Q3.

Lance Stroll just missed out on the top ten in eleventh, with Daniel Ricciardo in twelfth. Alpines Esteban Ocon and Pierre Gasly placed thirteenth and fifteenth, with Alex Albon’s Williams in fourteenth.
Q1 saw shock exits from Lewis Hamilton in eighteenth and Zhou Guanyu in sixteenth. Kevin Magnussen finished seventeenth, Yuki Tsunoda nineteenth, and Logan Sargeant twentieth for Williams.
