EA Sports unveils exclusive 'F1 The Movie' crossover in F1 25 game
EA Sports Collaborates with F1 The Movie for Enhanced Racing Experience in F1 25
EA Sports has announced an exciting integration between its highly anticipated F1 25 video game and the upcoming blockbuster, F1 The Movie, giving Formula 1 fans a glimpse into an even more immersive racing experience. While the real-life F1 grid will expand to 11 teams with Cadillac’s entry in 2026, players can already get a taste of the future, as the game introduces a fictional 11th team, APXGP, from the upcoming film.
The crossover comes to life through the game’s evolving Braking Point story mode. In addition to the fictional Konnersport team, players will get access to content inspired directly by F1 The Movie, diving into six adrenaline-filled scenarios that recreate pivotal moments from the film’s narrative. EA Sports promises a seamless blend of cinematic flair and authentic F1 25 gameplay, creating a unique and engaging experience for fans of both the sport and the movie.
A special free-to-play introduction at the iconic Silverstone Circuit sets the stage for all players on release day, with follow-up episodes at Monza, Zandvoort, Mexico, Spa, and Abu Dhabi rolling out in June 2025. Each scenario will offer distinct objectives, tailoring the experience based on which APXGP driver players decide to control on the virtual track.
For those eager to explore this crossover in depth, the full F1 The Movie content will be released as additional downloadable content (DLC) on June 30, 2025, just a month after the game’s launch. Owners of F1 25’s Iconic Edition will receive the DLC at no extra charge, while players with the Standard Edition will need to purchase the content separately to access anything beyond the Silverstone intro.
EA Sports has also confirmed that the APXGP team will be fully integrated into the game’s My Team and Driver Career modes. This allows racers to take APXGP through a complete season, navigating the highs and lows of the championship circuit—or simply enjoying their presence as a new competitor on the grid.
While fans await the theatrical release of F1 The Movie, this innovative collaboration between Hollywood and EA Sports positions F1 25 as one of the most dynamic and storytelling-driven titles the franchise has ever produced. As June 2025 approaches, the excitement is as palpable as a last-lap battle for the checkered flag.
