Final Trailer for Brad Pitt’s Formula 1 Blockbuster Released

The final trailer for the highly anticipated Formula 1 blockbuster starring Brad Pitt has been released, giving fans a closer look at the adrenaline-fueled action and intense drama set to hit theaters later this summer. Titled simply as the "F1 Movie," the film combines Hollywood storytelling with authentic on-location filming at real-world circuits, promising an unparalleled cinematic experience for both motorsport enthusiasts and moviegoers.

Release Dates and Plot

Slated for international release on June 25 and a U.S. premiere on June 27, the movie follows Pitt’s character, veteran racer Sonny Hayes, as he makes his return to the fictional APX GP team. Directed by Top Gun: Maverick filmmaker Joseph Kosinski and produced by Hollywood heavyweight Jerry Bruckheimer, the film has also benefitted from the expertise of seven-time Formula 1 World Champion Lewis Hamilton, who provided insight to ensure motorsport authenticity.

Star-Studded Cast and Tensions on Track

Pitt stars alongside Damson Idris, who portrays Joshua Pearce, a rising talent and Hayes’ young teammate. The trailer highlights the tension between the two drivers, teasing the internal conflict that plays out throughout the season, including dramatic race-day confrontations. In one scene, the trailer shows the duo clashing on track at Silverstone—a location familiar to Formula 1 fans and where much of the film was shot during actual race weekends across the last two years.

Fans may recall Pitt and Idris joining the pre-race anthem during the 2023 British Grand Prix alongside reigning world champion Max Verstappen—a striking visual that features prominently in the trailer. Pitt reprised his on-location filming during the 2024 British Grand Prix, notably capturing moments on the grid and even an interaction with Fernando Alonso in the media pen post-race. Additional action-packed sequences were filmed at iconic circuits, including Las Vegas, Abu Dhabi, and Monza.

Authenticity Through Iconic Locations

Key Formula 1 landmarks aren’t just limited to race tracks. APX GP’s headquarters were depicted using the McLaren Technology Centre in Woking, the home of one of F1’s most storied teams—a move that adds further realism to the film.

A Strong Supporting Cast

The newly-released trailer offers fans glimpses of Kerry Condon as team director Kate McKenna, delivering a commanding presence throughout the storyline. Her character serves as a key emotional anchor to the film, as McKenna reminds Hayes of the importance of teamwork, critiquing his self-centered approach to his comeback season. “This is bigger than you,” her voiceover warns in one memorable scene—setting the tone for the sports drama’s core theme of redemption and unity.

A Must-Watch for F1 Fans and Movie Buffs

With its gripping storyline, ensemble cast, and authentic cinematography, the F1 Movie is shaping up to be a must-watch for racing fans and film buffs alike. As the countdown to its summer premiere intensifies, the high-octane trailer has already ignited conversations and heightened expectations for what could be Formula 1’s most glamorous cinematic outing yet.
