Forza motorsport celebrates 20th anniversary with public meetups and exciting new features
Forza Motorsport Celebrates 20th Anniversary with Major Update
Forza Motorsport, the legendary racing simulator franchise, is commemorating two decades of virtual motorsport prowess with a major update that introduces a much-anticipated feature: public meetups. The anniversary update, now available on PC and Xbox Series X|S, includes several enhancements and surprises designed to thank the game’s dedicated community for their support over the years.
Introducing Public Meetups
Players can now dive into public meetups, a feature that has been atop fan wishlists for years. This new addition offers four distinct modes: two focused on drift rules and two on race rules. Both styles feature playlists cycling through all 73 track layouts available in the game, ensuring variety and excitement.
For the drift enthusiasts, there’s a 24/7 playlist exclusive to the iconic Fujimi Kaido, making its triumphant return to the series. Meanwhile, for fans of adrenaline-pumping race action, the Nürburgring Nordschleife—known as the "Green Hell"—also boasts its own 24/7 playlist.
Enhanced Racing Experience
One of the standout aspects of this update is its focus on refining the overall racing experience. The in-game AI has been improved to handle the high-intensity nature of race starts with cleaner, safer driving behavior. Additionally, steering wheel users will benefit from adjustments aimed at improving control dynamics. However, players using wheels will need to recalibrate their steering sensitivity after applying the patch.
Nostalgic and Fresh Soundtrack
In keeping with the celebratory spirit, the developers have expanded the game’s soundtrack. Several fan-favorite tracks from previous Forza Motorsport titles have been added, alongside brand-new compositions, creating a nostalgic yet fresh audio experience for long-time players.
The 20th Anniversary Tour
Racing fans immersed in career mode can look forward to a special treat—the brand-new 20th Anniversary Tour, which will remain a permanent fixture in the game. This tour features seven groups, each containing four races, for a total of 28 outings. A new quartet of tracks will unlock weekly, with the first set including:
- Fujimi Kaido
- Maple Valley
- WeatherTech Raceway Laguna Seca
- Sunset Peninsula Raceway
The rewards for completing the tour are equally enticing. Players who finish the entire anniversary tour will unlock the stunning 2022 Acura NSX Type S. In addition, completing each individual leg earns a new racing suit inspired by the series' history, blending nostalgia with style.
Additional Tweaks and Fixes
Beyond public meetups and career mode enhancements, this anniversary update comes packed with numerous tweaks, bug fixes, new challenges, and multiplayer tours. Together, these updates serve to sweeten the experience for Forza Motorsport enthusiasts and ensure the game remains a definitive choice for hobby racers everywhere.
A Celebration of the Past and the Future
Forza Motorsport’s 20th anniversary update isn’t just a celebration of the past—it’s also a bold step toward its future. Whether rediscovering Fujimi Kaido or braving the twists and turns of the Nürburgring, players have plenty to enjoy as they hit the track once more.
