Hamilton enjoys driving Ferrari at Bahrain testing

Lewis Hamilton forms strong connection with Ferrari at Bahrain test: "We're bonding".

Lewis Hamilton said he was "really enjoying" driving his Ferrari after the second morning of Formula One's pre-season testing in Bahrain.

Lewis Hamilton expressed his delight in driving his new Ferrari, topping the timesheets on the second morning of Formula One's pre-season testing in Bahrain. Although he finished second overall for the day, he was a mere 0.031 seconds behind Carlos Sainz, who swapped places with Hamilton to race for Williams this season.

"I'm really enjoying the car. We're slowly bonding, I think," Hamilton remarked at the Sakhir circuit. Despite a routine initial day, Hamilton said they completed their entire run-plan.

Focusing on adapting to his new environment, Hamilton commented, "We're really just focused on doing our job... we're learning our processes in the car." With each lap, Hamilton is growing more comfortable with the Ferrari's unique control systems and is still mastering the rear and front suspension settings and terminology.

"The car likes to be driven differently. It's a fun journey learning that," Hamilton added, noting his satisfaction with the car's response to his inputs. "Today was a positive day, making incremental steps with the setup."
