F1 75 season launch: Jack Whitehall hosts, Take That performs
Formula 1 season kicks off at O2 Arena: 10 teams, 20 drivers, Jack Whitehall hosts, Take That performs.
As the engines rev up for another thrilling Formula 1 season, fans are gearing up for a unique kickoff event, aptly named ‘F1 75,’ celebrating the 75th anniversary of the world championship.
This year, the O2 Arena in London will be the epicenter of excitement as all 10 teams and 20 drivers gather for an unprecedented season launch show.
Comedian Jack Whitehall has been confirmed to host the gala event on Tuesday, providing an entertaining backdrop to the evening packed with show-stopping performances and team presentations. Accompanying Whitehall’s comedic flair, the event will feature musical performances by legendary UK band Take That, celebrated for their impressive 12 UK No. 1 singles and nine chart-topping albums.
Adding a diverse musical touch, U.S. country star Kane Brown, along with Machine Gun Kelly and Brian Tyler, the composer behind Formula 1’s iconic theme, are set to light up the stage with their performances. This exciting lineup will energize the presentations of the 10 F1 teams as they showcase their drivers and cars for the upcoming season.
Each team has been given a seven-minute slot to creatively unveil their 2025 designs and driver lineups. However, fans will need to exercise a little more patience, as the teams are collectively holding back on revealing their official car liveries until the event kicks off. It's a strategic unveiling, gearing up fans and the motorsport community for what's to come.
Though all teams will be present, Ferrari has opted out of conducting media activities at the London event. They have planned a separate official car launch the following morning at their iconic Fiorano test track in Maranello, Italy, featuring drivers Lewis Hamilton and Charles Leclerc.
In the run-up to the big event, McLaren and Williams took the opportunity last week to reveal their 2025 cars at Silverstone. However, fans only got a glimpse of their interim liveries, further fueling anticipation for the O2 Arena showcase.
As the countdown to the new season begins, the F1 75 event promises an unforgettable evening of sports, entertainment, and innovation. Racing enthusiasts worldwide will be keenly watching as it sets the tone for the year’s high-octane battles on the track.
