Racing driver Graham Hill: Formula 1 world champion and a true legend of the track

Graham Hill - 1962 (BRM), 1968 (Lotus)

Graham Hill was a British racing driver who remains the only driver to have won the Triple Crown of Motorsport: the Formula 1 World Championship, the Indianapolis 500, and the 24 Hours of Le Mans. Born on February 15, 1929, in Hampstead, London, he won the Formula 1 World Championships in 1962 and 1968. Known for his distinctive moustache and charming personality, Hill was an enduring figure in motorsport. He also won the prestigious Monaco Grand Prix five times, contributing to his status as a racing legend. Post his driving career, he formed his own racing team, Embassy Hill, but tragically died in a plane crash in 1975 that claimed the lives of five other team members. His legacy in motorsport continues through his son, Damon Hill, who also became a Formula 1 World Champion.
