Jack Brabham - 1959 (Cooper), 1960 (Cooper), 1966 (Brabham)

Jack Brabham was an Australian racing driver and automotive engineer who became a three-time Formula 1 World Champion in 1959, 1960, and 1966. Born on April 2, 1926, in Hurstville, Australia, Brabham is notably the only driver to have won a World Championship in a car of his own construction, the Brabham BT19, in 1966. His career began in midget car racing before transitioning to Formula 1, where he combined engineering savvy with remarkable driving skill. Together with Ron Tauranac, he founded the Brabham racing team, which became one of the most successful manufacturers of the 1960s and 1970s. Knighted for his contributions to motorsport, Sir Jack Brabham's innovative spirit and technical acumen left a lasting impact on the sport. He passed away on May 19, 2014, but his legacy endures through the Brabham name and its pioneering achievements in Formula 1.
