Alberto Ascari

Racing driver Alberto Ascari: Formula 1 world champion and a true legend of the track

Alberto Ascari - 1952, 1953 (Ferrari)

Alberto Ascari was an Italian racing driver known for winning consecutive Formula 1 World Championships in 1952 and 1953. Born on July 13, 1918, in Milan, Italy, he was the son of famed racing driver Antonio Ascari. Ascari was renowned for his consistent driving style and focus, often dominating races with Ferrari in the early 1950s. His 1952 championship win was particularly notable, as he clinched victory in nearly every race he entered that season. Tragically, Ascari's life and career were cut short when he died in a crash during a test session at Monza in 1955. Despite his early death, he remains one of Italy's most celebrated motorsport figures.
