EA Sports has officially unveiled the release date and extensive details for the much-anticipated F1 25 racing game, set to launch on May 30, 2025, on PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X|S. This announcement follows the reveal of Lewis Hamilton starring on the cover of the F1 25 Iconic Edition.

The Standard Edition cover features a trio of prominent drivers, each celebrated for their recent accomplishments. McLaren's Oscar Piastri graces the cover fresh off his victory at the Chinese Grand Prix. Williams' Carlos Sainz joins him, having scored points for the British team for the first time in Shanghai. Rounding out the trio is Haas' rookie Oliver Bearman, who earned his first points haul for the American team at last weekend's race.

Fans of narrative-driven content can look forward to Braking Point 3, the series' compelling story mode. This chapter follows the fictional team Konnersport as they vie for the championship after climbing the ranks in the previous installment. EA Sports promises a range of difficulty settings in Braking Point 3, ensuring the mode is accessible for newcomers while remaining challenging for veteran players.

The popular My Team mode is set for a major overhaul, shifting its focus more towards management. Players will have increased responsibilities, with the ability to jump into races as either of their team’s two drivers. Furthermore, several in-game tracks will receive visual enhancements to enrich the overall gameplay experience.

EA and Codemasters have already opened pre-orders for F1 25, offering enticing bonuses. Fans who pre-order the Standard Edition will receive the F1 75 Celebration Pack, F1 World Starter Pack, and 5,000 PitCoin. The Iconic Edition comes with additional perks, including a selection of liveries from the F1 24 season, exclusive Hamilton-themed items, and post-launch story chapters featuring the fictional team APXGP from Apple’s forthcoming F1 movie. Iconic Edition owners will also enjoy Advanced Access, allowing them to hit the track on May 27, 2025, three days before the official release.

Additionally, those pre-ordering the Iconic Edition within the United States will benefit from a complimentary one-month F1 TV subscription.

F1 25 promises to be a significant advancement in the racing game genre, catering to both hardcore fans and casual gamers with its blend of realism, comprehensive management features, and engaging storylines.
