In a move that has sent shockwaves through the Formula 1 community, Lewis Hamilton is set to join Ferrari for the 2025 season, leaving behind his long-standing tenure with Mercedes. This upcoming partnership with Ferrari's current driver, Charles Leclerc, promises to be one of the most intriguing pairings in recent F1 history.

Charles Leclerc, who has been with Ferrari since 2019, is eager to measure himself against the seven-time world champion in the same machinery. Leclerc expressed his anticipation in an interview with ESPN, stating, "I will be super curious to see what he has done right for all his career to have had all the success that he's had."

Hamilton, known for his remarkable consistency and speed, is a force to be reckoned with on the track. Leclerc acknowledged this, saying, "He has very little weaknesses, well actually, I don't know any weaknesses of Lewis, he's a super strong driver, always there, super fast, super consistent."

The Monegasque driver is particularly looking forward to analyzing Hamilton's performance data without any uncertainties about car performance discrepancies. "For me it is going to be super interesting to be able to actually look at the data and know that whatever he does I can do, because we have the same car," Leclerc explained. "Next year, there won't be this question mark anymore. So it will be huge."

Leclerc is set on learning from Hamilton while showcasing his own capabilities. "It will be super interesting for me to learn from Lewis as much as showing what I am capable of in the same car as Lewis. These two things motivate me a lot," he added.

The burgeoning relationship between the future teammates is already strong, bolstered by mutual interests outside of racing. Leclerc shared insights into their friendship, saying, "We did know each other quite well and obviously since the Ferrari announcement we have got closer than before... we spoke a lot more about our communal passion outside of racing rather than racing itself."

Despite the expected competitive nature of their partnership, Leclerc is optimistic about maintaining a positive dynamic. "It's cool, we have a very good relationship and I'm sure it will stay that way. I have never had a bad relationship with my teammate and even though I am sure it is going to be a competitive battle, we are here to work for Ferrari and in this there are no doubts."

With Hamilton bringing his wealth of experience and Leclerc eager to absorb every lesson, 2025 is poised to be a landmark year for Ferrari as they aim to capitalize on the synergy between these two formidable talents.
