In a significant move for the Haas F1 Team, the American racing outfit has announced it will continue running Ferrari engines until the end of the 2028 season. This extension is set to provide Haas with a stable platform as they navigate imminent changes in Formula One's engine regulations, slated to take effect in 2026.

Since making their debut on the Formula One grid in 2016, Haas has maintained a formidable alliance with Scuderia Ferrari, benefiting from the expertise and power of the prestigious Italian marque. This partnership now strides confidently into a new era, ensuring Haas remains competitive with trusted Ferrari power units.

"I'm thrilled to extend our relationship with Scuderia Ferrari until 2028," expressed Ayao Komatsu, team principal of Haas. "As an organization, we've only ever raced with Ferrari power units, and to have that continued stability moving into the next set of power unit regulations is a key part of our ongoing development."

He added, "The relationship with Scuderia Ferrari has always been a special one to us - they were instrumental in the genesis of the program back in the early days and have continued to be a valuable technical partner throughout the past nine seasons. I'm delighted we now have more seasons ahead, and my thanks go to Fred Vasseur and many others at Scuderia Ferrari for continuing to show faith in our project."

In a strategic move for their future lineup, Haas will introduce Ferrari academy driver Oliver Bearman for the 2025 season, underscoring their commitment to nurturing talent and maintaining a competitive edge on the grid.

At present, Ferrari engines power Haas and Sauber teams. However, with Sauber's transition to become a factory Audi team in 2026, questions abound regarding whether Ferrari will onboard another customer team at the commencement of Formula 1's new regulations.

Thus, Haas's announcement is not just a testament to their robust collaboration with Ferrari, but also a clear message of their long-term vision and growth within the sport. As Komatsu aptly put it, "This announcement is just another example of the long-term ambition of MoneyGram Haas F1 Team -- our investment and growth in the sport continues."
