Brad Pitt’s 'F1' movie teaser to premiere at British Grand Prix
In a thrilling collaboration between the world of cinema and Formula One, Brad Pitt's upcoming film, simply titled F1, is gearing up to debut its first teaser. The announcement from Apple Original Films and Warner Bros. Pictures marks an exciting intersection of Hollywood and motorsports.
Set to be unveiled 30 minutes prior to the start of the British Grand Prix on Sunday, the teaser will be broadcast via F1's world feed and displayed on large screens throughout the iconic Silverstone circuit. This strategic timing ensures that racing fans will have an exclusive first look at the project, heating up anticipation for the race and the film alike.
Directed by Joseph Kosinski, notable for the blockbuster Top Gun: Maverick which grossed $1.49 billion worldwide, and produced by Jerry Bruckheimer, F1 promises to be a cinematic spectacle. The plot follows Pitt, now 60, as a veteran driver staging a high-stakes return to Formula One with rookie teammate Damson Idris. Their on-screen journey unfolds under the banner of the fictitious 11th team, APX GP.
On-track filming for the movie has been seamlessly integrated into the real-world racing calendar, with key scenes already captured at renowned circuits such as Silverstone, Budapest, and Monza. This weekend's British Grand Prix will also host the production team as they continue to bring the thrilling narrative to life.
Joining Pitt in the cast are acclaimed actors Javier Bardem and Kerry Condon, promising a blend of thrilling performances alongside the high-octane action.
Fans can look forward to F1's global release on June 25 next year, with a North American debut two days afterward. The film’s production is set to wrap up at this season's finale, the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix in December. Distributed by Warner Bros. Pictures, the movie will be available in cinemas and IMAX, aiming to deliver a truly immersive experience for racing and movie enthusiasts around the world.
