FP3: Hamilton tops final practice in Canada ahead of qualifying

Lewis Hamilton delivered a standout performance to lead the final practice session for the Canadian Grand Prix, posting the fastest time ahead of Red Bull’s Max Verstappen and Mercedes teammate George Russell. The session, held in improved weather conditions, offered the first dry running of the weekend.

Hamilton’s fastest lap of 1m 12.549s on soft tires set the pace, with Verstappen and Russell close behind. Lance Stroll impressed in fourth for Aston Martin, followed by McLaren duo Oscar Piastri and Lando Norris. Daniel Ricciardo, Fernando Alonso, and Sergio Perez completed the top nine, with Ferrari’s Charles Leclerc rounding out the top ten.
The session sets the stage for an exciting qualifying round, scheduled to begin at 1600 local time.
