Valtteri Bottas is a Finnish racing driver widely recognised for his consistency, speed, and teamwork during a long and successful career in Formula 1. Born on August 28, 1989, in Nastola, Finland, he began karting as a child and steadily climbed the motorsport ladder with strong results in junior categories, earning his first major title by winning the Formula Renault 2.0 Alps championship in 2008.
Bottas made his Formula 1 debut in 2013 with Williams, quickly showcasing his talent with strong qualifying pace and solid racecraft. His performances earned him a move to Mercedes in 2017, where he became teammate to Lewis Hamilton during one of the most dominant eras for a team in the sport’s history. While with Mercedes, Bottas scored multiple race victories, numerous podiums and played a key support role in helping the team secure consecutive Constructors’ Championships.
