Racing driver Pierre Gasly: Skilled Formula 1 driver with aggressive and tactical racecraft

Pierre Gasly is a French racing driver known for his resilience, speed, and breakthrough performances in Formula 1. Born on February 7, 1996, in Rouen, France, he developed his racing foundation in karting and progressed through the junior formulas with strong results, ultimately winning the GP2 Series (now Formula 2) in 2016, which helped propel him toward the top tier of motorsport.

Gasly made his Formula 1 debut in 2017 with Toro Rosso and was soon promoted to Red Bull Racing in 2019, marking a significant milestone early in his F1 career. After a challenging stint at Red Bull, he returned to Toro Rosso/AlphaTauri later that season, where he rediscovered his form and quickly became one of the team’s standout performers.

His first Formula 1 victory came at the 2020 Italian Grand Prix, a dramatic and memorable win at Monza that made him the first French driver to win a Grand Prix in over two decades. Since then, Gasly has continued to deliver competitive drives, regularly extracting strong results and podiums from machinery outside the traditional frontrunners.

Known for his intelligent racing, tenacity and ability to maximise performance under pressure, Gasly is respected across the paddock. Off the track, he is appreciated for his thoughtful media presence and commitment to his craft, making him one of France’s most prominent figures in modern Formula 1.
